I see it as a "Spike creeper", once it explode it launches spikes (like arrows) all around it's area, you can grab them but they quickly despawn, it is use for potion brewing and can be shot using a crossbow, it explodes on impact if you use the cracked ones which are made by using them with a crossbow to much, oh and it Pierces through mobs even without the enchantment!
